Pleasant and airy dormitories for both senior and junior students overlook the spacious campus with views of the Nilgiri Hills which surround the town of Ooty . Separate quarters are provided for a sick bay, and the school has quarters for the resident staff.

The school also boasts several large sports grounds, many of which host various outdoor festivals and shows that are held in the town during the summer season.

The school has a superbly equipped library with over 5000 volumes of books of reference and works of literature, both classical and modern, in English and other languages.

A well maintained school bus is equipped to carry day scholars to and fro and is utilised for the many outdoor activities that are held for the students.




Hygienic kitchens provide a well balanced diet of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian food. All members of the staff dine with the students in the large dining hall. An assembly hall doubles at times for theatrical activities and as a TV viewing/lecture room.

A qualified nurse is resident at the school and a regular paediatrician is always on call if required. Regular dental, hearing and eye check-ups are conducted by the school for all students.







A computer lab fitted with at least 14 P.C’s is available for all students. A Chemistry and Physics laboratory is also sited on the campus along with an Arts Room where debates and discussions can be held along with displays of the students’ work. A recent addition to these facilities is the provision of an Audio/Visual Lab which introduces whiteboard computerised lessons along with satellite TV reception of all syllabus subjects in a video conferencing form to allow Woodside students to take part in country wide lessons.
